Learn Something New with the TIME for Kids Big Book of Where – Review

I have always been the “asks too many questions, knows a lot of useless facts” type of girl. Whether it was my rattling off of the alphabet backward, knowing that your nose and ears never stop growing, wondering why we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway, or proving that strawberries are not an actual fruit; I was the queen of questions (and answers). Then… I had children. Their effervescently steadfast knack for all of the favorites – How? What? Why? Where? – has nearly brought me to my knees in surrender. As much as I’d love to be able to knowingly answer all of their endless questioning, honestly, I cannot. I do not have them all. Thankfully, I came across a new book that is meant for this, exactly.

The TIME for Kids Big Book of Where, along with the rest of the Big Book collection, has you and your children’s questions covered. Through its ten chapters, this book has the answers for, seemingly, everything. Readers will be taken on an adventure across our country, around the world, down in the vast oceans, high into the solar system, and more.

Along the journey, your children and you, alike, will discover some wondrous, surprising, and interesting facts about the world around us. This book, much like children, asks all of the random questions that most of us rarely even think of. The TIME for Kids Big Book of Where, unlike many of us parents, actually has the coinciding answers, too!

Colorful, easy-to-read maps, spectacular, eye-popping photos and clear, engaging diagrams make the book come to life and help answer questions such as:

– Where is the tallest mountain?
– Where did the Olympics begin?
– Where is the Petrified Forest?
– Where are diamonds found?
– Where was the hamburger invented?
– Where does spam go after you delete it?
– And much more!

My children are quite observant and always want to know more and more about, well, everything. Though our library of books has already overtaken nearly all of our shelves, I am very happy to have had the chance to flip through the pages of this wonderful book. Reading has always been an educational opportunity in our home and I am thrilled that, with this, they are not only learning the basics of literature but also gaining the invaluable knowledge and drive of wanting to know more.

Our entire family enjoyed this book immensely. All of us have learned many new things and I love that I am now able to answer that many more of my little ones’ still repetitive questions. Through our new Big Book of Where and the TIME for Kids website, social media pages (Facebook and Twitter), and magazine, we are excited to continue on our adventure deeper into the world of learning. You, too, can pick up your own copy of TIME for Kids Big Book of Where through their website for $19.95. It is a wonderful publication and, now, I can finally say that we have at least got the “Where?” covered!

  1. Thanks. Just put it on hold at our library. We’ll check it out and if the kids love it, it will be on their wish list.
