Right about now, I’d normally share a variety of views of a beautiful flower bouquet from Teleflora as a way to help you pick the most perfect Mother’s Day arrangement. This year, things are quite different. Social distancing has changed the way we normally conduct life. It doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate all moms on Sunday, May 10th. Telflora has created this lovely video, A Mother’s Love to celebrate mom’s this year.
My life drastically changed on Friday, March 13th. It was supposed to be a long weekend and it’s turned into a life changing event. Professionally, I’m a high school librarian and I love what I do. On Friday the 13th, and the days following, I found out that my professional career was going to change and I just added a couple of new titles to my belt. Oh, I’m still the high school librarian but I’m also adding 6th grade teacher of multiple subjects, stay-at-home mom, and head house cleaner, cook and laundress to the mix. Folks, it’s not been easy.
As difficult as it’s been, we’re making the most out of it. Taking field trips to various parks around Nebraska (yes, we’re social distancing) and learning out our great state, getting exercise and appreciating the sights. We’re baking and experimenting with different recipes – marshmallows, cakes, cookies and meals. We’re enjoying each other’s company by spending out evenings outside around the fire pit (s’mores are involved!), playing cornhole, tossing the football, or just enjoying a coffee or cocktail. We’ve started taking our dogs on walks around the park.
As much as this has rocked our world, we’re doing the best we can to stay healthy, stay sane and always, always love. I know I’m not the only mom out there, either. For that, thank you.
Keep Teleflora in mind once we find our new normal, order online and they take care of the rest! It’s hand-arranged and hand-delivered by local florists, you can count on a beautiful arrangement every single time.
I’d love to hear how you’ve taken this time to #LoveOutLoud!
