Cosplay and Anime Costumes
I just had to post about this company I had wonderful service from – this is not a paid post or review, I purchased items from Moon Costumes for my daughter and her friend.
My daughter and her friend are attending Fanime next month and they needed to order costumes for Cosplay {don’t ask me – I really don’t know too much about it!} from Moon Costumes. Â My daughter has gone to this convention for the past 3 years and it is something she looks forward to each year.
I was skeptical to order her anime costumes because most of the companies are located in China and I hesitate to purchase items straight from another country. I like to make my purchases from companies in the USA – I just feel safer this way.
I researched several companies and looked up complaints and there were very few “good” ones to choose from {in my opinion}. Â My daughter did some research too and finally showed me Moon Costumes. Â I trusted them enough to place a large order, but wondered how long it might take to receive our items. Â I was shocked when the first box arrived only about 3 days later. Â The next one arrived the following day. Â Each box contained exactly what we ordered, and the quality of the anime costumes was excellent!
We were still waiting for the final costume to arrive and and after a few weeks I looked at my order info again. It turns out that I had been charged for the last costume but it had not shipped. Â I notified the company and they quickly had the costume shipped out…it arrived in about 5 days.
I was so pleased with their customer service, and how they made things ‘right’ without much of a fuss from me. Â I did have to wait a few days for them to return my email and had trouble calling (the phone number didn’t work), but finally they responded. I will definitely feel confident ordering from Moon Costumes again and wanted to give them a big shout-out to say thank you! My daughter and her friend are happy girls, and are all set for Fanime! I’m SO jealous of your daughter and her friend!! I’m not the biggest anime fan, but I still like it and would love to go to something like that 🙂
So can’t wait to see the pictures. I know she looks forward to this. And when I told Mat she was going again, he was impressed {and I think maybe, juuuust maybe a smidgen envious}. LOL

I made an order with them yesterday for my boyfriend and his friends, and I have yet to hear anything from them. I was worried because it said the estimated arrival for the outfits would be Monday the 30th (we’re attending Fanime too!), so obviously that’s way too late… I tried canceling, but my boyfriend is worried since most reviews say they come in about 3 days, so I keep emailing/facebook/twittering (I don’t even use twitter!) them for a response to hopefully cancel my cancelation request. I’m hoping I hear from them soon, I sent countless emails and even tried calling, but one line is disconnected and the other was a residential number o_o
I had trouble with their phone number too, when I had to check on the second part of my order. I did contact them on Twitter and Facebook as well, as they didn’t respond to emails (well they did, but it took a few days). Here is the person that responded to my email: Megan, Customer Service, Moon Costumes, 1-401-COSTUME, su*****@**********es.com. Your order definitely should have been here by now.
