I have four kitties (technically five if you include the neighbor’s cat, Magnificat, who never goes home). It gets very expensive to feed them all, and it’s even harder to lug that much cat food from the store to my trunk, then into my home. Canned cat food and large bags of chow are heavy!
I was recently asked to give my thoughts on the Mr. Chewy website. I was provided with a gift code so I could try it out for myself and share my experience with you. Mr. Chewy has dog and cat food, including chow, wet food and kitty treats.
I had fun browsing the Mr. Chewy website, as was pleased to see that they had Friskies canned cat food ($15.99/case) – that’s what my kitties love the most. At the time I was ordering, they didn’t have a great selection of flavors in Friskies, but while looking at the site again just now, I noticed they have all of my kitties favorite flavors! This makes me a very happy girl 🙂 I decided to see what other brands my kitties might like to try (after all, it’s good to change things up with the new year, right?).
I found some canned food that I had never heard of before (not as a food), but knew I had to give it a try. It was Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover’s Soul. I wanted to take advantage of the free shipping on orders $49 and over, so I put two cases of this in my online cart. They were $19.99 each. I also bought two types of kitty treats. So for two cases of cat food and two bags of kitty treats, my total came to a little over $49. I qualified for free shipping! When you’re buying heavy items online (such as pet food), free shipping is a huge money saver. I think with my next order, I might buy cat litter as well!
I navigated the Mr. Chewy website with ease. It was really easy to find just what I was looking for. All available types of products are prominently listed at the top of the page, to guide you in what you want to find. You can even shop by brand (and there are a bunch of well-known brands!). There is also a handy search box for added ease of use.
My items arrived very quickly, and my kitties loved the new food variety.
Mr. Chewy also has flea and tick items and potty pads. I do hope that they will add a few dog and cat toys eventually, so that I can order a few things for playtime when I am purchasing their food.
If you have a cats or dogs, I highly recommend Mr. Chewy. Since I have shopped there myself, I can honestly say that it was a great experience.

Have you noticed how everything is going online these days!? I swear, while sitting in your chair in your pjs at 2 in the morning, you can buy an outfit, your contacts, any medication you need, and now pet food.
