In case you cannot tell by the photos of my fur babies on my sidebar, or if you haven’t noticed all of the photos I post of my babies on Facebook, I will tell you that I LOVE CATS! Growing up, we always had cats, and when I moved out of my parents house and got married, we quickly acquired a cat (to be followed by several more). Sometimes I found them and sometimes they found me (like Annabelle).
We had three indoor cats when we moved into our current home 9 years ago. Then, out of nowhere, we somehow had a fourth kitty. It all happened innocently enough. A good friend of mine had a cat that just had kittens. She found homes for all but one of them, and asked if she could bring him over just for us to “look at”. She claimed there was no pressure to take him, but she knows me well and that I can’t resist a cute little kitten face.
She and her kids arrived at our house with the most darling little white kitten in a….get this….Easter basket! Yeah, exactly. How was I supposed to say no? I was smitten with this kitten. My husband knew how much I wanted him, so we agreed to take him.
It took us awhile to decide on a name for him, then it struck us one day, after we had seen his personality. We would call him “Newman”. If you are familiar with the television show Seinfeld, then this will make sense to you. He is a trouble maker! But he is so stinkin’ cute that we really cannot get mad at him.
Newman always seems to find some kind of mischief to get into, as demonstrated in the photos below:

I have so many more photos of Newman doing ridiculous things, but I’m sure you get the idea by now. He is our little buddy and we love him like crazy.

How cute! I think I’m having kitty fever so need to adopt another. We currently have 2 but I just want another:)
I always want more too. I always feel so bad when I see kitties at shelters – I want to take them all! I definitely think you should get another 🙂
Awwww, I can see how he captured your heart in the beginning! He was awfully cute! He does seem like a little bit of a stinker though, but I’m sure he keeps you laughing. 🙂
LOL stinker is an understatement. I think that’s what makes him so endearing though. That and his slightly crossed blue eyes!
A kitten in an Easter basket? No way could you say no.
I know, right? I absolutely could not resist!
