My husband and I like to cook on the outdoor BBQ grill often. One of the reasons I think that I love this so much is that I don’t have to cook! I usually only have to make a side dish and veggie, but sometimes it would be nice for ME to get a break from cooking altogether.
I just may have found the solution! Ore-Ida Grillers are the perfect solution for my “cook-free” nights. When hubby fired up the grill last night, this is all I had to do as far as cooking went:
I took Ore-Ida Seasoned Thick Cut Potatoes out of the freezer and poured them into a bowl. How sweet is that? I actually didn’t even need to do that I suppose – I could have just taken the bag out to my husband so that he could add them to the grill while cooking our steaks. I knew he would need a bowl to put them in when they are done though, so I planned ahead.
Ore-Ida Thick Cut Potatoes are available in plain and seasoned, so we tried a few of each last night. They are so easy! In addition to being convenient for the grill, they would also make an easy side dish for those indoor cooking nights, as they can be broiled or baked as well.
Ore-Ida Grillers Thick Cut Potatoes are put on the grill frozen, so there is no need to worry about them falling through while grilling. They are just the right thickness to prevent this. We simply placed them close together (away from raw meat) and grilled for 15 minutes. Honestly, I was kind of surprised that they didn’t stick to the grill (I was sure they would). We pulled them off of the grill with ease.
We needed veggies too of course, so hubby grabbed a salad in a bag and we had a complete meal in no time (and I was free to do other things). Oh how I love nights like that!
The flavor of the Ore-Ida Grillers was really nice. The seasoned potatoes were seasoned just right, and these are the ones we would purchase again. The texture I found to be a little dry though. I think in the future, I might add a little oil to them (especially if baking). But the good news is that on the side of the bag there is a recipe for a yummy sauce, as well as other sauce suggestions. I think these would be perfect dipped in your favorite sauce, such as Honey Mustard or Ranch dressing. I have also been thinking about how I can use the Ore-Ida Grillers in casseroles. The possibilities are endless, really, and I can’t wait to get creative with them!
Ore-Ida Grillers can be purchased at grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide such as Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Safeway, etc.

Those scream to me that I need to eat them immediately. Delicious!
I haven’t seen these before (that’s why I like blogs that tell me new things). I like that you use them frozen and only have to take out as many as you’ll use.
