The stormy relationship that exists between Tom and Jerry goes without question. And, quite fittingly enough, I am writing this in the midst of a hurricane. Now, keeping two little boys indoors due to inclement weather without having my home become the setting for a Tom and Jerry spin-off is easier said than done. Children need to play and, while arguments may ensue, at least the anvils and hammers are left for Warner Brothers’ creations.

When it comes to keeping little ones busy and entertained indoors, Pump It Up has created one of the best solutions that I have ever seen. We own a small bounce house that we typically use for birthday parties and barbecues but rain, snow and nasty weather is not ideal for its use. There have been a handful of times where we have rearranged our living room furniture to allow for indoor bouncing and, although the kids were beyond thrilled, our cat nearly had a mild heart attack and almost destroyed the toy in a true Tom fashion. Thankfully, Pump It Up is feline and living room furniture free and features an expansive indoor space to satisfy any child’s jumping needs.

At Pump It Up locations, children can engage in all sorts of silly fun while exploring private indoor jumping arenas, gigantic inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and more! The company specializes in birthday parties, Pop-In Playtime, Jump-N-Art, PumpStart, and seasonal events including their current Halloween themed Not So Scary Jump Night. They even have a Corporate Team Building program for adults but we’ll keep that our little secret. Their staff is well trained and safety oriented to ensure that our children can enjoy the facility unharmed and we parents can have a few minutes of worry-free relaxation. Using imaginative play, children can embark on their very own Tom and Jerry adventure through leaps, bounds, flips and an awful lot of bouncing.

Believe it or not, Tom and Jerry (like our children) do know how to play nicely together. Siblings and friends will fight but, when necessary, they can join forces and create a team like no other. In their newest adventure, Tom & Jerry: Robin Hood and his Merry Mouse, the squabbling duo travel back in time to Nottingham. When trouble ensues, the enemies join forces to save the city, Maid Marion, and King Richard.

“The fur flies again, when Jerry, as the smallest member of Robin Hood’s gang, encounters Tom, a feline squire to Maid Marion. Not only are the cat and mouse from opposite sides of the moat, but Tom is secretly working as a spy for the Sheriff of Nottingham and evil Prince John. But when the villains succeed in capturing Robin, Tom realizes to his horror that they intend on harming Marion as well. So he joins forces with Jerry, not only saving their respective humans, but allowing for the safe return of King Richard as well.”

To celebrate the release of this movie, Pump It Up has partnered with Warner Home Entertainment and is hosting a Facebook sweepstakes! The Grand Prize winner will receive a free Pump It Up party for up to twenty-six kids along with the new Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and his Merry Mouse on DVD/Blu-Ray – over a $400 value! Twenty-nine runners up will each win a copy of the film. The sweepstakes ends tomorrow, October 29th, so make sure that you get your entries in NOW!
