I am pretty sure all kids love to get surprised by hearing their names in a story.  With the free Put Me In The Story app your child has the option to hear their name every time a story is read.  You have a few options with this cool app to Put Me In The Story where you can create a profile with picture and name for each of your children so that all family members can enjoy seeing their sweet faces and names in the stories that you read to them.

In the Dream Big Little Pig! book that we download Poppy is a pig that kept getting told she wasn’t good enough.  So sad but what she realized was that with hard work, encouragement from those close to her, and determination you can do whatever you set your mind to.  It is a super cute book and my youngest enjoyed the Read To Me option which, obviously, had the story read to her.  With this option my daughter’s name was not in the story but she liked it just the same. I like the Read To Me option because baby girl likes books read to her over and over and over again. Do you have a kid like that too? This is awesome for parents like us! Read them a book and then let the app read it until they get they decide they want another book read to them! Perfect!

A free book comes with the app, The Night Night Book.  What I loved about this book, besides the price, was the extra features though out that the children could play with.  Your child is the star of The Night Night Book and my daughter could make stars twirl, buttons spin, toothpaste squirt, and much more.  It is a cute story to read even when it isn’t bedtime.

Another nice feature of the app is that you can preview the books before you buy them. 8 pages! This helped us pick out which books we wanted to buy right away and which ones we might like to purchase later. Each book is $2.99-$4.99 and they are adding new books to their library.

Even cuddly, lovable Elmo could make an appearance during your story hour with Elmo Loves You! How much would your child love seeing their name Put In The Story that also had Elmo? Elmo Loves You is a story all about love! Throughout Elmo tells you over and over how much he loves you and there are also a few extra special features throughout to find. Watch for the stars twinkling and touch for the surprises.

There are several other books in the collection If I Could Keep You Little… (*sniff sniff* don’t we all wish this), I Love You More, Santa Is Coming To My House, My Name Is Not Alexander, and My Name is Not Isabella.

Now I am going to be honest with you. I love apps that teach my children or read to them and Put Me In The Story does both. When I am cleaning a room of the house I am not above giving my youngest the iPad to play on so that I can have a few minutes to get chores done and keep her out from under my feet. She loves stories so Put Me In The Story was a good app for us. Put Me In The Story is on Facebook and when you sign up for their newsletter you can receive 10% off your purchase of new books. Sweet!
