For many, the school year has already started. That means a new routine, homework, and packing lunches. Bringing lunch to school is a great way to give parents control of the food quality of the child’s lunch. It’s especially important when taking into account any dietary restrictions or allergies. Rubbermaid has a fantastic solution for reusable, BPA-free lunching. They have created a modular container system that saves space and keeps food chilled until lunchtime.

While Luv is homeschooled, we still pack lunches often for any outing or play-date because she eats a kosher and organic diet. I was excited to put the LunchBlox Sandwich Kit to the test! This kit includes perfectly portioned containers; a sandwich container, a medium sized snack container, and two small snack containers. Each snaps together for easy storage and packing. Best of all, a specially designed Blue Ice pack is included that snaps onto the containers for keeping their cucumbers, well, cool as a cucumber! I love how simple it is to pack a lunch for Luc and she loves having a little lunch set all for herself. She can open and close the containers with ease, too!

You can purchase the LunchBlox Sandwich Kit at Rubbermaid.com, Target, Kmart, Safeway and other grocery stores nationwide for about $12.99.

  4. A dinosaur-shaped peanut butter/banana sandwich for the kiddies, crackers (so they don’t get crushed in a baggy), cheese, and apple slices!

  5. For my kids, I would pack sandwiches, fruit, juice and cookies or chips. On a special ocassion, maybe pizza instead of the sandwich. For myself, I would pack salads, fresh vegetables, bread bowls with clam chowder… fruit… Now I’m hungry!

  8. We are focusing on good food and health this year so lunches are crackers and cheese and ham or turkey with grapes, tomatoes or a salad, 100 calorie cookies, apple, etc. I really miss making PB and J sandwiches but due to so many kids now having allergies, I haven’t made one of these for school in over 6 years!!!

  9. I would pack a sandwich, some veggies, and veggie dip! Maybe a little sweet treat, too!

  14. I’d pack a sandwich (or maybe leftover takeout) in the big container, and a variety of stuff in the smaller ones… fruits, veggies, chips or crackers, maybe some candies… lots of possibilities!

  15. What a great opportunity! Thank you! I would pack ham sandwich, grapes and some sun chips for my kiddos 🙂
