Sea Salted Caramel Chocolate Popcorn

Ingredients:
Popcorn
Oil for popping
1 bag of wrapped caramels
1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 tsp. vegetable oil
2 tablespoons milk
Sea Salt (coursely ground)
I found a neat Popcorn Oil at Target today (by Archer Farms) and it gave my popcorn such a great flavor:

I popped one batch of popcorn in a huge pot:
Spread the popped popcorn out on a large piece of wax paper (mine was about 1 1/2 time the size of a cookie sheet):
Next combine caramels and 1/2 can condensed sweetened milk into a sauce pan and melt over very low heat, stirring frequently (watch carefully!):

When the caramel is fully melted and smooth (note: you can add more condensed milk if needed), drizzle over popcorn with a spoon, then sprinkle lightly with sea salt:
When the chocolate is ready, drizzle it evenly over the top with a spoon, and do a final sprinkling of sea salt:
After it has cooled, break it apart, or cut into pieces with spatula.
This recipe would make a wonderful holiday gift (several actually!). Just place some in a decorative box, or in clear plastic with red and green bows attached.
Enjoy!

Two words! PACKER PARTY!
I am a bit afraid of letting my hubby have the caramels though, each year he seems to need to flex off a crown and steal outta our flex accout to the tune of $1800 to $2400 for dentist, and then in the poorhouse all year. I think I shall have to hide this one. 😉 No calories either?
oh wow what a great recipe. This would be great for gift giving for Christmas to. Looks really delicious cant wait to try it.

Hi,
For a movie fanatic like me this recipe is the dream! Have you noticed any differences in the variety of different popcorn kernels when it comes to flavor? I could also recommend preheating your popcorn popper for a more even warmth distribution. Thanks for the quick read!
Looks yummy and easy to make. I’m trying this!
