I have frizzy hair. It drives me nuts! There are so many products out there that claim to control frizz but they don’t know my hair and mostly they don’t work. For me at least. I received the Dove Nourishing Oil Care collection to review. My hair might be frizzy but it isn’t dry so I was curious how the “oil” part of the collection would work. The Nourishing Oil Collection features Weightless Nutri-Oil technology. It is a unique blend of natural almond, coconut, and mineral oils that penetrates hair to nourish without weighing it down.
First I tried the Dove Energize Shampoo and used it with the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Daily Treatment Conditioner. The Shampoo has a stronger citrus smell to it. Energizing. It lathered up nicely and rinsed out well. The Conditioner which had a nice little strip of Nutri-Oil in it had a lighter scent which I liked and I could easily run my fingers through my hair before rinsing. I towel dried my hair and applied the Leave-In Smoothing Cream. It dried for a few minutes and I put it up. No frizzes yet and it looked so healthy. The next morning I was able to comb through my hair and it sat nicely without frizzing. Next up I used the Energize Shampoo with the Nourishing Care Conditioner. Again I really was happy with how the shampoo cleaned and the conditioner, well, conditioned my hair. This time I used the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Antifrizz Serum. I love it! Love it! This was a big winner in my book. I applied it and let my hair air dry. It was not frizzing at all and had a nice shine to it. It was what I hope my hair will look like after the salon but at home! The next day I again combed it out and there was no frizzy mess. Afterwards I braided it all Laura Ingalls style to hike 4 hours in the mountains. I loved how easy it was to braid and how shiny it looked. It did not feel oily to me at all. This is a product that is a keeper for me!
