One of my favorite things is finding sly learning games for Luv. She has a blast playing and I love playing with her! Super Duper Publications recently sent us one of their award winners to review. [*]
This spring, Super Duper Publications was awarded with the 2013 Seal of Approval from The National Parenting Center {TNPC} for each of the six products that were submitted! That is huge!
Educational Products:
· Vocabulary Chipper Chat
Games:
· Just For Laughs
· Ring Bling
· Which One Doesn’t Belong?
Apps:
· Super Duper StoryMaker App (iOS)
· WH Question Cards App (iOS)

I chose Vocabulary Chipper Chat to review. I felt I could easily weave this in with her daily lessons. Luv considers this a game, not any sort of a lesson – which certainly makes things easy on me!
Vocabulary Chipper Chat is a game to help students understand and utilize new vocabulary. Using category game boards {double sided}, foam die, a magnetic wand, and magnetic chips, children follow the skill prompts and dive into practicing vocabulary and language skills. There are five copies of each board, so this is a great game for the classroom as well as play dates!
Basic how to:

Luv has played Vocabulary Chipper Chat a few times now. Some prompts offer a challenge for her {which I don’t shy away from}, but we work through those together. That’s all part of learning, right?

The 12 vocabulary categories included are:
Analogies, Associations, Attributes, Categories, Compare & Contrast, Context Clues, Figurative Language, Functions, Homonyms, Homophones, Synonyms & Antonyms, and Verbs.
The Mister’s thoughts:
I think it is awesome! I can’t think of a more original way to teach a child vocabulary and take command of the English language than to turn it into a game and give them a sense of competitive enjoyment.

Luv’s thoughts:
It’s fun! I liked the magnet chips and picking them up with the magnet stick. Can I play it with Bella today? She can like it, too.
And for the record, Luv’s friend did like it, too! *chuckle*
Buy:
Vocabulary Chipper Chat is in line with national core curriculum objectives for grades K-5. If you have a child at home in those grades, I definitely recommend investing in this game! It would also make a fabulous gift for teachers. Vocabulary Chipper Chat is available to purchase online and retails for $64.95.
