I am always stunned to learn how inexpensive things were “back in the day”. Although I remember my parents complaining how expensive things were, they really weren’t (well, comparatively speaking of course).

I’d love to see them add in child care costs to this. That alone was the reason for me to get life insurance, especially as a SAHM. It’s insane!
