George Foreman Grand Champ Extra Value Grill

Indoor grills are the bomb.  Seriously.  Mom’s life just might be a little bit easier if she has the George Foreman Grand Champ Extra Value Grill in her kitchen! I know my life has been made much simpler because of my indoor grill.  I love to BBQ and grill our food, but I do not like having to pull out the BBQ in the backyard, wait for it to heat up, then fool around with the temperature. I usually leave that to my husband 🙂  The advantage of electric grills is that they are quick to heat and fast to cook, which means less time in the kitchen!

Indoor grills have another huge advantage – they allow us to create healthy meals!  George Foreman electric grills are designed in such a way, so that the fat and grease from meat trickles down into the provided drip tray, keeping it off of the meat.  Genius!

Last year, I did a George Foreman Evolve Grill review and subsequently told all of my friends and family about it {and anyone who will listen, really}. You see, I received this several months ago, and it has been used daily. My family absolutely loves it, and I plan on giving it to my son when he moves out {someday…}. We use it for grilled sandwiches, homemade sausage muffin biscuits, hamburgers, grilled chicken and just about everything else that can possibly be grilled.

I don’t have to be too sad about my son taking the “old” grill now, as I have received another George Foreman grill for review!  This time I chose the George Foreman Grand Champ Extra Value Grill ($49.99 ARV) for our Mother’s Day Must-haves event!

After I pulled this beauty from it’s packaging, I immediately started grilling.  What was on the menu the first night after receiving it?  Shrimp Tacos!  I had my husband purchase two huge bags of prawns at Sam’s Club, and I picked up fresh corn tortillas from our local mexican restaurant.  This grill is so simple to use – just plug it in and it’s ready.  And it is HUGE!  Although it is huge, it still fits perfectly on my counter.

After I cleaned the shrimp, I set them on the grill.  I was amazed at how many shrimp fit my indoor grill.  This is really important for me, because I really don’t have the time to do them in several batches.  I would rather get in and out of the kitchen quickly.  The shrimp actually cooked really fast, though, so even if I were cooking for an army, it wouldn’t have been a big deal at all.  We assembled the tacos with the shrimp, salsa, lettuce, red onions and cheese and they were heavenly… Mmmmm.

indoor-grills, george-foreman-indoor-outdoor-grill,

The Shrimp Tacos were a big hit, and they cooked perfectly on the George Foreman Grill.  I felt good knowing that I had prepared a healthy meal for my family, with minimal effort.  We have since cooked chicken breasts {several times}, hamburgers and steaks.  My son also makes sandwiches on this daily.

If you know someone {even if it’s not a mom!} who is trying to eat healthier, or just someone who loves to grill their food, the George Foreman Grand Champ Extra Value Grill is an awesome gift idea.  The price is right too – it’s a whole lotta grill for the low price!  Make the special lady in your life a little happier this year with one of the indoor grills from George Foreman!

You can purchase the above grill at retailers everywhere ($49.99 ARV). Oh, and make sure you read the George Foreman Next Grilleration Grill review at A Nut in a Nutshell…she is also giving one away!

  2. Well first thing is I want to do the grilled shrimp! I love them and my husband won’t make them so I have to go out and eat, this way I can make my own. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  3. I’d grill souvlaki – it’s like a Greek kebab – and pita bread! I used to live in a primarily Greek neighborhood and was turned onto their cuisine and fell in love with it’s taste and nutritional value. Since moving away I haven’t found anything that compares to it so I’d like to try making it myself. The outdoor grill is too touchy though and we don’t have an indoor grill yet. Hopefully I’ll win! I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
