Welcome to the Mother’s Day Must-haves event! Each day we will be bringing you our favorite ideas for Mother’s Day this year, and lots of chances for you to win too! I absolutely love seafood…I mean seriously adore it. My husband and I often take weekend trips along the California coast, and inevitably we eat at a seafood restaurant for each and every meal of our trip. There really is nothing like fresh seafood…nothing.

I have heard of McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants before, but I have never actually tried one. That seems ridiculous doesn’t it? If you aren’t familiar with them, I am about to give you an introduction {CAUTION: Your mouth may water!}.

Each McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant’s menu is printed twice daily, featuring the signature “Fresh List” highlighting an impressive number of fresh seafood varieties, in addition to aged steaks, poultry, entrée salads and pasta.

The extensive menu changes everyday, based on the freshest, highest quality seafood available. Our chefs work with reputable seafood purveyors to obtain only the freshest seafood from local waters and beyond. We offer guests dozens of seafood varieties at the peak of their

seasons, including Alaska Halibut, Northwest Salmon, Hawaiian Mahi Mahi, Oregon Petrale Sole and a large selection of oysters from the U.S. and Canada, just to name a few.

Every McCormick & Schmick’s has an Executive Chef, who contributes to their menu’s unique and imaginative appeal by creating dishes tailored to regional tastes and their own talents. Each executive chef strives to reflect McCormick & Schmick’s commitment to culinary excellence by showcasing a vast selection of only the freshest quality seafood. McCormick & Schmick’s commitment to local freshness is apparent in the seasonally inspired dishes and regionally inspired preparations offered.

As soon as I found out that we were going to be featuring {and hosting a giveaway!} for McCormick & Schmick’s, my curiousity got the better of me. I wondered if there were any of their restaurants near me? After searching their restaurant locations, I found that there is one about 30 minutes away from me. It is actually a seafood restaurant I used to go to with my parents when I was a kid {one of my most favorite places ever!}. I haven’t been there in years, but I most definitely will be eating there soon. I have had some amazing seafood throughout the years, and I would love to see how McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant stacks up. I have a feeling it will be pretty incredible too 🙂

Scallops are one of my favorite things to order. I have never, ever met a scallop I didn’t like. I see that they serve them – and they look quite tasty:

Oh – make sure you don’t miss McCormick & Schmick’s famous happy hour too. I think this sounds super fun!  Here is another tip – make sure you check in on Foursquare when you arrive – they just might have a special deal for you!

I am fairly certain Mom {or aunt, sister, friend, etc} would be delighted to have Mother’s Day dinner out at McCormick & Schmick’s. So if you have been looking for the perfect place, keep this one in mind {and let me know how it was!}. If you live away from mom or the special lady in your life, or won’t be seeing them on Mother’s Day, you might consider a handy-dandy gift card!

  113. Faneuil Hall Market Place in Boston, about a 40 minute ride for us, but so worth it. We try to go at least twice a year, Mother’s day sounds like the perfect day to me
