T-Fal Professional Non-Stick 10 Piece Cookware Review

Having recently moved into our first home, we are completely starting from scratch here. Typically, the phrase “starting from scratch” only meant cooking up and baking a variety of goodies in the kitchen. However, since our move, we had next to nothing in our new kitchen. Aside from a few hand-me-down items from family, we didn’t have many options when it came to preparing food aside from the microwave. Thankfully, I was recently given the opportunity to try out a pretty sweet set of cookware. Long story short – I love it!

Now, I’ve heard of the T-Fal brand from time to time but I had never purchased nor used any of their items. Not too long ago, I was sent the T-Fal Professional Total Non-Stick 10-Piece Cookware Set.

Surely, all cookware sets can, in fact, cook a decent meal but this T-Fal set has certainly gotten fancy with things. Let me ask you something… how many times have you come across a recipe that requires preheating the pan before cooking? I know that I have stumbled upon plenty of them yet I have still not figured out a way to test whether or not the pan is hot enough without tossing in unneeded butter or burning my fingers. Thankfully, the T-Fal Professional Total Non-Stick Cookware Set has since saved my skin and our waistlines. With the unique Thermo-spot feature, the pans are now capable of letting you know when they are ready for use. The center Thermo-spot on each pan will switch from the cool, patterned spot to a toasty, solid red spot to symbolize its readiness. I have found this to be ideal for cooking meats such as steak, chicken, and burger because cooking on a fiery hot pan helps to seal in the flavor of the food.

In addition to the greatness that is Thermo-spot, it is, of course, nonstick. A must have feature in any cookware set, the nonstick interior alongside its advanced metal-safe coating guarantees durable performance perfect for frequent use and is great for a fast, easy cleanup.

Now, our new home has a gas stove. Having only used gas stoves a few times prior to this and, more so, being used to electric stoves, I was a bit worried about how the pans would hold up over an open flame. I’ve gone camping many times and have seen firsthand what fire can do to cookware. I would hate to see that kind of damage and warping happen to a brand new set of cookware. Thankfully, however, T-Fal has you covered on the exterior as well. The integrated heavy-gauge aluminum, stainless steel base featured on each pan helps to assure that the heat is evenly distributed and prevents that horrid warping.
