Vaseline Sheer Infusion Review!

October 11, 2009 by Jennifer Leave a Comment

Vaseline Sheer Infusion review

I am a lotion fanatic.  There is something about new and exciting lotions that makes me warm and fuzzy all over. I cannot explain it – must be a “girlie” thing.  I am rather particular though, when it comes to lotions. I cannot stand greasy lotions that don’t seem to absorb no matter how long it has been since I applied it.  I also do not care for lotions that absorb so fast that my hands feel dry again immediately.  I have found a lotion that is perfect!  I was sent three bottles of Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 for review.

A little more about Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 from the Vaseline website:

Patented Stratys-3™ Complex Allows New Lotion to Infuse and Suspend Moisture at Skin’s Top, Core and Deep Down Surface Layers for Unprecedented Hydration and Unmatched Skin Feel vs Leading Body Lotions.

Some body lotions use ingredients that, alone, are unable to effectively treat each of the surface skin’s multiple layers. Introducing Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ with Stratys-3™: the only lotion to deliver superior moisture to all layers of skin and an unmatched silky feel.*

The moisturizing ingredient typically found in lotions is a humectant, which attracts and holds moisture within the skin. Lotions with too little of the humectant ingredient can leave the surface skin (or stratum corneum) not thoroughly moisturized, particularly at the top where it is most vulnerable to the environment. Other lotions try to counteract this problem by using occlusives, designed to sit on the surface and seal in moisture, but this can leave the skin feeling greasy.

Stratys-3™ is the first moisturizing complex designed to work across all layers of skin* without leaving a greasy residue. Found only in Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™, Stratys-3™ is one of the biggest breakthroughs in moisturizing technology in decades.

After using this lotion for several days, I can say that in my opinion, it is pretty amazing.  I do not throw that word around lightly.  Each time after using the lotion, and for hours later, my skin is silky, soft and super smooth.

Vaseline Sheer Infusion is available in three varieties: Botanical Blend, Mineral Renewal and Vitamin Burst.  They all work equally well, even though they are slightly different.  The scents are so nice and fresh, and the lotions can be worn daily.

Where can you buy it?

  • Vaseline Botanical Blend
  • Intensive care lotion with Aloe
