Votivo Candle

Violet scented candles, specialty candles,

exotic candles, Rose scented candles

I have always been fond of candles. The calming glow and a relaxing scent do wonders for the body and soul. I do not like heavily scented candles though, and sometimes it can be tricky to find that perfect balance when looking for the “right” candle. Let me introduce you to Votivo:

A savory blend of tart red currants and golden fruit glaze ladled over coarsely ground vanilla bean ice cream and served along side of raspberry filled sugar cookies… the original Red Currant.

About a year ago, while visiting my esthetician, my eyes gravitated toward a display of beautiful candles. She always has the neatest products, and her taste in everything from makeup, skin care products to candles always impresses me. We walked over to the Votivo display and I began sniffing several scents {she only had a few}, while also admiring the pretty boxes that they are packaged in. I ended up buying two Votivo candles that day, and I’ve never looked back. One of the candles I purchased was the red currant scent, and I cannot begin to describe how lovely the fragrance was. I don’t remember the other candle scent, unfortunately, but it was just as delightful.

I recently was asked to review a few Votivo products, and needless to say, I was thrilled. I have been wanting to try some of the other available scents! I was to choose between two new Spring scents from Votivo: “Rush of Rose” or “Morning Violet”. I chose Morning Violet.

Morning Violet is a refreshing breath of life concocted of Sweet Pears, Parma Violets, and Guaiacum Wood that combine to make your mornings worth experiencing.

Not only did I receive the Morning Violet Votiva candle {$25 ARV}, but I also received a travel tin and reed diffuser {also in Morning Violet}! What a nice surprise, and a great way to sample their different products. The travel tin is 3.0 oz and a $10 ARV, and the 6.8 oz reed diffuser retails for $40 and the fragrance time is approx. four months.   I love the way Votivo candles burn – nice and even.  I am also excited that they have such a long burn time – in addition to the yummy fragrances, I know I am getting my money’s worth.

Morning Violet is a very pleasant scent that fills my house with fresh fragrance.  I have the reed diffuser in my living room, and I use the candle upstairs.  I love walking in my house and breathing deeply – it just makes me happy.  I cannot wait to try more of their scents!

The 8.5 oz Votivo Candle retails for $25 and burns for 50-60 Hours.  You can find a retailer that carries Votivo on the Votivo Candles website.
